\nIn early afternoon several hundred golden plover were congregated in the shallows in the harbour. I usually see them in the air with lapwing. This many wading was a great site.<\/p>\n
I blogged rather more than expected yesterday, and we had long conversations on quantum economics reconciling points of difference on thermodynamics, entropy and gradients of change, and the relationship of these to behaviour in the macroeconomy, which took our thinking some way forward. But, there was a lot of birdwatching too.<\/p>\n
The pink footed geese were seen heading out at sunrise, and back at sunset.<\/p>\n
This guillemot was in Blakeney harbour early in the morning.<\/p>\n

And as we watched at sunset we also saw a barn owl , setting out on crepuscular activities, and at least one vole was no more, as we watched.<\/p>\n
Then there was a starling murmuration of several thousand birds over the spit.<\/p>\n
And after the pink-foots had headed west for the night, two hen harriers slipped very quietly over us to roost in the trees by Wiveton Hall, looking over the Blakeney marshes. The grey male was beautiful, even in the dusk light, and the female followed only a minute or two later. Moments like this matter.<\/p>\n
