I was asked to discuss it on Times Radio last night, but it was too late, and I felt I was too tired to do the subject justice, so I declined.<\/p>\n<p>An interesting comment did come in this morning, though, from a commentator called Joanna, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2025\/08\/21\/my-unease-with-flags\/#comment-1038960\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who said, <\/a>and I have edited slightly:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Were I in the UK now, here's my suggestion. Don\u2019t just sit there pretending nothing is awry \u2013 fly something. Say your piece, give your response. A dove. A multicoloured family holding hands.
