It's been a busy weekend, not least because of the generosity of so many people here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But, that said, time was taken out. We were at Welney yesterday and today. Good birding, even if not notable for rareities. But this picture includes a group of ruff and black tailed godwit wading at the bottom right:<\/p>\n

The sheep had got the message about the heat and hid under the bridge:<\/p>\n

This teasel was magnificent in front of the main hide:<\/p>\n

And then last night we went into the city for a drink because it was finally cool enough to go for a walk.<\/p>\n

It's always important to remind myself that I live near this extraordinary building:<\/p>\n
