{"id":83935,"date":"2025-07-13T07:40:01","date_gmt":"2025-07-13T06:40:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/?p=83935"},"modified":"2025-07-13T07:40:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-13T06:40:23","slug":"thank-you-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2025\/07\/13\/thank-you-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank you"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I feel it's only appropriate that I make one of my first posts on this blog this morning a note of thanks to everyone who subscribed as a consequence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2025\/07\/12\/how-much-is-this-blog-worth-to-you\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">of my appeal for funding, made yesterday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I admit that I made that appeal with some trepidation because it feels quite difficult to ask for money for something that I want to do, and which I want to expand, even though I know that at present, if it does develop, that will result in a loss being made.<\/p>\n<p>I think that around 90 people donated yesterday, most with new monthly subscriptions, and I cannot express how much I appreciate that. There are two reasons.<\/p>\n<p>One is that the money will help, and the other is that it simply feels like a massive vote of confidence in what I am doing, and in itself, that feels really important because everyone needs such a boost every now and again.
