I share it because I like it<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Crumble surprise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be fooled<br \/>\nBlackberries are tasty fruits<br \/>\nTo be enjoyed but a few weeks each year<br \/>\nBut meanwhile for the rest of the time<br \/>\nThe brambles are spreading and growing<br \/>\nTheir thorns multiplying<br \/>\nHarsh hedges of hate<br \/>\nBecoming ever larger<br \/>\nFlattening all other plants in their wake<br \/>\nFaster faster<br \/>\nWider wider<br \/>\nTaller taller<br \/>\nStronger stronger<br \/>\nThe barbs pierce, protrude and penetrate<br \/>\nThere will blood<br \/>\nThere will be blindness<br \/>\nThere will be blight<br \/>\nBeware those who promise sweet fruit and succulent crumbles<br \/>\nLook through and past these promises<br \/>\nTo see the matted mesh of pointed pain and spiteful spikes<br \/>\nAnd keep your secateurs and pencils close<\/p>\n<p>\u00a1No Passaran!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jon Harvey, who recently let me publish his poem entitled Ten Poets, has also submitted this to the blog.
