{"id":81926,"date":"2025-04-27T15:48:27","date_gmt":"2025-04-27T14:48:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/?p=81926"},"modified":"2025-04-27T15:48:27","modified_gmt":"2025-04-27T14:48:27","slug":"might-trump-fail-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2025\/04\/27\/might-trump-fail-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Might Trump fail soon?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Simon Tisdall had this to say <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2025\/apr\/27\/donald-trump-us-constitution-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in The Observer<\/a> this morning:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Measured by willingness and capacity to harm the world\u2019s poorest and most vulnerable, wreak global economic mayhem and threaten nuclear annihilation, Trump is uniquely dangerous \u2013 and ever more so by the day.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Unsurprisingly, given comments that I have made of late around the theme that he addresses in his article, which is how the tyranny of Trump might come to an end, I agree with him.<\/p>\n<p>However, what worries me as I scan the news today is just how many people in the UK are likely to vote for someone who is Trump adjacent.
