But, Google found it, and it is worth sharing:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Leisure\u00a0(1911)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What is this life if, full of care,<br \/>\nWe have no time to stand and stare?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No time to stand beneath the boughs<br \/>\nAnd stare as long as sheep or cows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No time to see, when woods we pass,<br \/>\nWhere squirrels hide their nuts in grass:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No time to see, in broad daylight,<br \/>\nStreams full of stars, like skies at night:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No time to turn at Beauty's glance,<br \/>\nAnd watch her feet, how they can dance:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">No time to wait till her mouth can<br \/>\nEnrich that smile her eyes began?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">A poor life this if, full of care,<br \/>\nWe have no time to stand and stare.<\/p>\n<p>By Welshman W. H. Davies, it seems to be his best-known work (I have an anthology of his poems, and no others are nearly as familiar). It is justifiably famous.
