Today was definitely the day to take binoculars out.<\/p>\n

It was misty, slightly damp, and appeared overcast at Welney Wetlands and Wildlife Trust reserve:<\/p>\n

But, as it turned out, that was what was exciting to photograph with a phone, because I hadn't thought it worth taking a camera (about which I was wrong):<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There were, in fact, a lot of birds, if you could see them through the gloom. This one is on about 20x phone magnification - so please forgive the way it looks:<\/p>\n

But it was the feel of the day that mattered:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It was so good we spent well over three hours there.<\/p>\n
