It was beautiful at the Wetlands and Wildlife Trust's Welney reserve this morning. This is the bridge over the Fenland 'drains' (or drainage canals) onto the reserve:<\/p>\n

The reserve was looking good, with water levels much down from those of only a few weeks ago:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Highlights were marsh harrier, godwits, kingfisher, snipe, dunlin, cattle and great egret and many more.<\/p>\n

The sky was playing tricks, though. That gave me the chance to take some photos of skeins of Canada geese. First was this:<\/p>\n

Then, a little later, I saw another coming over and shot straight into the sun, not knowing what might come out:<\/p>\n
