Entitled \u00e2\u20ac\u0161\u00c3\u201e\u00c3\u00b2Precious Little Prudence&rsquo; it asks \u00e2\u20ac\u0161\u00c3\u201e\u00c3\u00b2When is a debt a bad thing--do accountants really even know?&rsquo;<\/p>\n<p>As I conclude:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>[L]et&rsquo;s never forget that both the IASB and IAASB are dominated and even significantly financed by the Big 4 firms of accountants and auditors - PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, KPMG and Ernst &amp; Young.<\/p>\n<p>According to popular myth these firms have had a \u00e2\u20ac\u0161\u00c3\u201e\u00c3\u00b2good recession&rsquo; \u2014 little blame attaching to them for what has happened. But that&rsquo;s just a myth, because the truth is they carry a great deal of responsibility for what has gone wrong \u2014 and should bear the consequences.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Which is something I firmly believe. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My latest Forbes column is out.
