Based on my experience at the OECD from 2013 - 2015 it\u2019s easy to name them as PWC, Deloitte, EY and KPMG, who between them underpin the world\u2019s  tax havens.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Richard Murphy (@RichardJMurphy) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RichardJMurphy\/status\/1401255951911604231?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 5, 2021<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The comment was based on observation of what happened on country-by-country reporting, and my research.<\/p>\n<p>The Big 4 all did all they could to oppose country-by-country at the OECD, although EY were the most aggressive, by some way.<\/p>\n<p>As for research, <a href=\"https:\/\/openaccess.city.ac.uk\/id\/eprint\/20066\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">work I did with Saila Stausholm<\/a> at Copenhagen Business School showed just how fundamental the Big 4 are to offshore. Quite literally, they are the common thread without which the offshore world could not operate. Expect some \u00a0opposition in that case.
