{"id":54583,"date":"2020-12-16T07:53:08","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T07:53:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/?p=54583"},"modified":"2020-12-16T07:53:08","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T07:53:08","slug":"apologies-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2020\/12\/16\/apologies-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Apologies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to apologise: there is no video this morning.<\/p>\n<p>I did the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2020\/12\/15\/time-to-move-on-from-the-straitjacket-of-the-limited-company\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">APPG<\/a> meeting I mentioned yesterday and then knew it was time to tackle an issue that has been bugging me. That has been the appalling Wi-fi in my house since moving to true fibre broadband. The router supplied by BT was terrible. Fantastic speeds next to the hub disappeared completely once outside the room. A mesh network had to be installed.<\/p>\n<p>Four bourse later, much of the time being spent on BT calls to secure the information to set up a new router that they forget to tell you when signing up for their service, I eventually got the new system running. It\u2019s actual installation was a doddle: it was getting into the line that took the time.
