{"id":45307,"date":"2019-06-12T10:34:05","date_gmt":"2019-06-12T09:34:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/?p=45307"},"modified":"2019-06-12T10:34:05","modified_gmt":"2019-06-12T09:34:05","slug":"does-the-green-new-deal-demand-a-new-conceptual-framework-for-accounting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2019\/06\/12\/does-the-green-new-deal-demand-a-new-conceptual-framework-for-accounting\/","title":{"rendered":"Does the Green New Deal demand a new conceptual framework for accounting?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I will be discussing the above issue at this event:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em><strong>\u201cDebating Nature\u2019s Value\u201d \u2014 27 June at Chartered Accountants\u2019 Hall<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u00a0ICAEW is partnering with the University of East Anglia and Anglia Ruskin University in a programme of discussions \u201cDebating Nature\u2019s Value\u201d.\u00a0 This is a grouping of academics largely from the arts and humanities who challenge the notion of natural capital.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>The topic for discussion is \u2018Natural Capital- Key Part of Accountancy or Just a Political Slogan\u2019- will involve Victor Anderson asking whether monetary valuation of natural capital can be precise enough to inform policy-making.
