The truth is that good old fashioned demand side macroeconomics has a lot to offer in our current predicament \u2014 but its defenders lack all conviction, whilst its critics are filled with a passionate intensity.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Not so this defender.<\/p>\n

But he’s right \u2014 the Left has to argue with the passionate intensity of the Right.<\/p>\n

I know we haven’t, for the good and simple reason that our case is proven by the fact that the arguments are rational and the evidence shows them to work in practice. But that doesn’t mean we can afford to ignore those who would oppose the justice they promote with a wholly unjustified passion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
