What did he say when dismissing the corrupt Rump Parliament? <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emersonkent.com\/speeches\/dismissal_of_the_rump_parliament.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">It was this<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place,<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">which you have dishonored by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">Ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">Ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana; font-size: small;\">Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you?
