Ivan, I and a great many others were alarmed by this proposal; it became one of the best read posts in this blog's history.<\/p>\n<p>Ivan followed up on the post with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2016\/02\/24\/what-will-lobbying-by-academics-mean-questions-to-the-cabinet-office\/\" target=\"_blank\">letter to the Cabinet Office <\/a>seeking elaboration on the detail of its plans.
