Should central banks take it upon themselves to encourage and support the formation of liquid environmentally-focused markets?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s just one of the \u2018unconventional\u2019 areas the BoE\u2019s One Bank Research agenda \u2013 revealed by the Bank on Wednesday \u2013 is keen to explore in a bid to stay ahead of fundamental change affecting the economy and financial stability in the market.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It was five years ago that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.financeforthefuture.com\/GreenQuEasing.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Colin Hines and I created the idea of Green quantitative easing<\/a>.
