They don't want change to the permanent establishment rules. They're implacably <a href=\"http:\/\/www.publications.parliament.uk\/pa\/cm201213\/cmselect\/cmpubacc\/870\/870.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">opposed to\u00a0country-by-country reporting<\/a>. And no wonder. As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/cms\/s\/0\/8132d2ba-0273-11e3-880d-00144feab7de.html?ftcamp=crm\/email\/2013812\/nbe\/UKMorningHeadlines\/product#ixzz2bjUupvxQ\" target=\"_blank\">the FT reported today<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p data-track-pos=\"0\">Strong demand for its consultants and auditors helped the UK arm of\u00a0<a title=\"Deloitte hopes for post-Olympics lift - FT.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ft.com\/cms\/s\/0\/f9840890-e79b-11e1-86bf-00144feab49a.html\" target=\"_blank\">Deloitte post an 8 per cent increase in annual sales<\/a>, although its partners nevertheless suffered a slight dip in their average take-home profit.<\/p>\n<p>The UK\u2019s second-biggest auditor and consultant by fee income posted sales of \u00a32.51bn for the year to May 31, up from \u00a32.33bn a year earlier.<\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">The firm\u2019s consulting arm recorded a 14 per cent increase in sales for the second consecutive year, taking its contribution to the overall sales figure to \u00a3596m.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>David Sproul, chief executive and senior partner, said its consulting business benefited from rising demand for assistance on digital matters, data analytics and cyber security.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When an average partner makes \u00a3772,000 a year from keeping the tech industry happy are you surprised they might oppose tax reform? \u00a0No, me neither.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deloitte have become one of the most outspoken opponents of tax reform.
