It's too important not to share.<\/p>\n<p>TJN's Senior Adviser Sol Picciotto and writer Nicholas Shaxson mentioned this in their Financial Times\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/taxjustice.blogspot.ch\/2012\/11\/on-news-agenda-tjn-in-ft-nyt-guardian.html\"><strong>comment article<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0last week:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>George Osborne, the UK chancellor of the exchequer, and his German counterpart Wolfgang Sch\u00c3\u00a4uble have said they will engage with the OECD to tackle the problems in international tax.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>How serious is this? Well, thanks to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/finance\/economics\/9699818\/Europe-campaign-against-companies-that-dodge-tax.html\"><strong>The Telegraph<\/strong><\/a>, we have more details:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\"George Osborne, Wolfgang Schaeuble, the German finance minister, and Pierre Moscovici, the French finance minister, have written to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation &amp; Development (OECD) with a pledge to provide \u00e2\u201a\u00ac150,000 (\u00a3120,000) each to help stamp out \u201cprofit shifting\u201d and ensure major companies pay their fair share of tax.\"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a3360,000 to solve this gigantic, corrupting faultline in global capitalism.
