Yesterday was the second biggest day for traffic in the\u00a0history\u00a0of this blog. Thanks.<\/p>\n

A few spent much of the day submitting many comments to the blog - which took a lot of time to deal with.<\/p>\n

Many (but not all) started\u00a0- and more ended - with some pretty rude comments.<\/p>\n

Now I know I deal with some commentators - almost all of whom then\u00a0transpire\u00a0to come from the\u00a0political\u00a0right- quite\u00a0robustly\u00a0but, quite candidly, experience has shown me time and again that most such\u00a0people\u00a0are\u00a0fundamentally\u00a0opposed to democracy and the well being of anyone but\u00a0themselves, and I have no\u00a0truck\u00a0with\u00a0either\u00a0sentiment. Of course, I'll\u00a0occasionally, get that call wrong, and then I apologise.<\/p>\n

But what I also have no truck with\u00a0those\u00a0who just say I'm wrong - either without disclosing all their\u00a0reasoning\u00a0- or very often\u00a0without\u00a0being able to justify their claim - as have\u00a0happened\u00a0on the 50p tax rate for example, where it's now clear HMRC, the OBR and\u00a0Osborne\u00a0are all using spurious data that\u00a0depends\u00a0on a tax avoidance scheme of \u00a36\u00a0billion\u00a0to deny that the tax rate in question could have raised \u00a36.7 billion but for that scam. Now again I accept, I'm robust in defence\u00a0of\u00a0my arguments until they're\u00a0proven\u00a0wrong, but I'm secure in the knowledge that time and again I have been told endlessly that they are wrong only to be proved right.<\/p>\n

So, of course you can\u00a0disagree\u00a0with me\u00a0intelligently. I welcome that. But I've had enough of the anti-social time wasters who have been\u00a0trolling\u00a0here for some time.\u00a0Several\u00a0have had a spam label attached to them in the last\u00a0twenty\u00a0four hours, and have not just been trashed. I have better things to do than bother with such people.<\/p>\n

Others can\u00a0try\u00a0to\u00a0replace\u00a0them, but at the slightest hint of anti-social comment, either personal or about society itself, it's to spam you will go. \u00a0I can't say it fairer than that.<\/p>\n

I have better things to do with life than waste it on such\u00a0people\u00a0- and for the libertarians who object - it's my right to say so!<\/p>\n
