A Courageous State?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As is widely reported today, Ireland is to hold a referendum on the EU's austerity and bailout plans that would lead to a lost\u00a0generation\u00a0in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>The Irish already know that austerity does not work. It does not solve economic problems. It does not solve the problem of\u00a0zombie\u00a0banks.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0pressure\u00a0on the people of Ireland to accept austerity will be\u00a0enormous.<\/p>\n<p>They have to say no.<\/p>\n<p>This crisis\u00a0was\u00a0not created by the people of Ireland. It was\u00a0created\u00a0by some\u00a0politicians, the world's economics\u00a0profession\u00a0and bankers with whom they were in cahoots.
