Dandelions have been around for about 30 million years, which is ten times longer than our branch of the evolutionary tree (Homo spp.). They will probably outlast us.

Not much doubt about that. Are you a gardener…..?
Pollen landing on the sticky stigma begins the process of fertilisation and eventually the development of all those little dandelion seed carrying parachutes … so they absolutely do represent hope and the future.
There’s always hope.
I’m sure you know that.
