My late Uncle, RAF(Retd) & I surprisingly did and yet didnt agree on much.
Faced with Green issues he wasnt keen, turn them into energy and food security ones, having served through WW2 he got it entirely.
If we can tar the current generation of Politicians with being negligent on National Security grounds we might get somewhere.
Utter madness getting so cosy with Putin’s Russia for energy. It was always on the cards that one day it would become a weapon that he would use. Paying for it now and it could be much worse when he turns the gas and oil taps off to Europe just in time for winter.
Meanwhile, instead of asking Truss and Sunak what they would do as PM about climate change, the BBC asked what they do personally. Sunak apparently is led by his children. Is the UK to hope that his children wake up to the catastrophe facing them and demand some action?
What a missed opportunity.
The whole management and questions in the debate was utterly pathetic. BBC helping to camouflage what these people will actually do in office and being utterly useless yet again
This is what Truss would do about climate change.
