I just tweeted this:
For those who missed yesterday, let me summarise events: the Tories attempts to trash the country continued, undisturbed by those of them who thought, very briefly, that they might have a found a conscience.
if you want evidence, look to the front pages of the Mail and Express:
As I suggested would happen yesterday, the media led campaign to restore Johnson has already begun. Don't rule out that by next week he will be on the ballot to be Tory party leader again. It is technically possible. And fascists don't give up easily, especially when they have an utterly corrupt media behind them.
Meanwhile, Keir Starmer was at Wimbledon.

The man’s a loon and is surrounded by worshippers who want him to keep going. An example of what happens when you block yourself from the voices of sanity and from experts with a track record of getting things right.
It’s lovely to see the Daily Mail live up to its Fascist heritage.
As for the Daily Express – it’s just a Mail wannabe.
I think that you are right to point out the risk here.
I think people need to realise that at the moment, there no rules at all to people like Johnson, Rees-Mogg et al.
These are Fascist Neo-liberals in the process of making their own reality.
But do not under estimate the price of failure to the Tory party. They have more skeletons in their cupboard than the Natural History Museum.
To survive they have to keep going. They’re all implicated and they know it. They’re desperate – and dangerous with it.

and yet on Wednesday the Daily Heil was calling him ‘The Greased Piglet’ on their front page. Scratching my head here.
Has he actually resigned from either role? His speech did not mention the word resign at all, it just said that some people in his party think he needs replacing. And doesn’t he have to ask the Queen to resign as PM?
Is he calculating that by hanging in No10 for a couple of months might turn up some new black swan that enables him to claim that for the best of the country, it is just not time to step aside.
And as the party contemplates the 20 odd candidates and decides they are all even worse than him (in terms of electoral pull), they might just change their mind and stick with him.
And that I feel is why Starmer keeps his head down, he know full well if he utters anything even remotely radical or progressive the above attack dogs will have two and a half years to rip him to shreds thus ensuring that people will vote for the Tories even if they decree eating dogshit is compulsory.
I’ve not got a huge amount of faith in KS but I can see why he is scared of rocking the boat, after all he even gets a hard time here……….the way the odds are stacked he is on very thin ice.
A quote from my friend John
Starmer is calling for an election because he knows that his policy bucket is empty (“Pigs wain’t follow an empty bucket” as we say in Lancashire) and that the election of a new Tory Leader (who can set out popular policies) will see the Tories bounce back in the polls.
I think that a touch simplistic
