Moderation has been very slow today. Please accept my apologies.
The delay is because I seem to have got a bug (no, not Covid) and spent much of the day asleep.
I may take tomorrow as a slow day too.
I have been working like fury. I think my body is fighting back.
Thanks for reading this post.

look after yourself Richard
I will
This is a long game
Hope you feel better soon. In the meantime 1. Glass of Brandy 2.Toasty Duvet. 3. Book that always makes you laugh (in my case , Three Men in a Boat. )
My relaxation is railway history….
The Cambrian Railway right now
Bit of Bob with a train theme ( kind of )

Listen to your body, Richard. Stress and exhaustion can each be killers, but stress combined with exhaustion more than doubles the odds.
Agreed
Yes, rest and recovery, sleep and pampering, and ignoring the world, is the best way to heal and get better.
Too much of society is driven by the – mostly promoted by big pharma trying to sell more of their remedies – idea that we should ‘keep going’. No wonder everyone spreads infection so much when we mask symptoms and take our diseased carcasses out there to spread bugs to more people.
Get well soon Richard 🙂
I took a lie in…..
Very, very rare for me
If you don’t already, make room for some regular exercise. Even doctors are prescribing it.
I do it…
Every day
I always walk, a fair amount
And now my dog is old sometimes I go without him to get up to a decent pace
get well soon, Richard
but not before you’re fully ready !
How about this from Harry Lauder:
Oh, it’s nice tae get up in the mornin’ when the sun begins to shine
At four or five or six o’ clock in the good old summer time
But when the snow is snowin’ and it’s mirky overhead
Oh, it’s nice tae get up in the mornin’ — aye, it’s nicer tae lie in yer bed!
🙂
I’m not surprised! I can’t keep up with you at all sometimes!
I have that problem too, it seems
Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
I just needed some time off…
Covid is not good for thinking about taking breaks…
Take a rest, I have no idea how you keep up with your work load.
I’m resting be reading the history of auditing….I’m sleeping often 🙂
“reading the history of auditing”
What a weirdo..
When I am working on audit related issues why is that?
No wonder you’re sleeping a lot!
Hope you’re OK.
I just need a few light workload days
A few days of sleep rather than ‘lightened workload’ would be nearer the mark I feel..!
Friendly admonition: the last time I felt the way you describe yourself was immediately prior to half my body shutting down and then being flown off Islay to a Glasgow hospital….. Followed imminently by early retirement on health grounds from my lovely job driving round Argyll schools & fixing / maintaining their computers….! It’s medical terminology is imminent TIA’(s)….!
Please take care of yourself friend…… you’re going to be needed in an independent Scotland….!
Ow Ian
I admit I do listen these days
It’s annoying to realise I am finite, but I now acknowledge it
Go well too
I have learned a lot following you Richard – please take care and best wishes.
Hope you get better soon.
I have attached some comments about the current debacle concerning the latest SNP accounts. Your views/analysis on this i am sure would be appreciated by many SNP members
if you have time to give them when you are well.
https://yoursforscotlandcom.wordpress.com/2020/10/30/more-questions-than-answers/
I note Stuart Campbell saying he has more funding for IndyRef2 than the SNP
The accounts might suggest he’s right given the scale of his fundraising appeals
