I have to report another appointment. This time I have been appointed a visiting academic at the University of Sheffield where I am working with both Prof Andrew Baker on tax spillover related issues and Prof Adam Leaver on accounting matters.
The appointment is unpaid, but the Corporate Accountability Network has an agreement with Sheffield at present to supply research support on a project that we hope might lead to suggestion for an accounting standard on reporting productivity. I am being paid on a salaried basis for that work by the CAN.

Congratulations Richard, I am sure you will do well.
We used to reckon in Yorkshire that ‘The South’ started after Sheffield. So officially you will be into ‘The North’ by the skin of your teeth.
Good move. 🙂
Oh, and congratulations.
Thanks…
“An accounting standard on reporting productivity”
What the hell us that?
A standard on how to report productivity – what it says on the tin
Out of interest, what funding have you managed to get for CAN?
It has a grant of £15,000 for a year from the Joffe Trust and £5,900 from Sheffield University
Well done. Hope the funding increases. Do not pay fleeting visits. Sheffield is to good for that. Stay longer and I will buy you lunch at one of best cafes in Ecclesall Road. It is time we met.
I like the city
I’ll let you know
Some sense coming to Sheffield, just as HMRC abandon the city!!!

I hope you aren’t suggesting Richard is seeking to evade HM’s Revenue and Customs 🙂
