As the Guardian has noted, the De Moines Register (a newspaper in Iowa, USA, with a good track record on polling) has done a poll on the US primaries, which happen first in that state. Joe Biden topped the poll, and is not a candidate. Sanders was second.
More interesting from my perspective was this:
The Green New Deal, a proposal by Democrats in Congress to tackle climate change, was supported in full by 65% of the Democratic voters, partially by 26%, with 4% against. The deal would fund government programs on clean energy and make buildings energy efficient while helping to address poverty.
That's impressive polling. 91% of US Democrats wholly or partially back the Green New Deal. Few ideas ever get that much support in any party.

Not a mention of you?? Thought it was all your work?
I am a member of the Green New Deal Group. It is mentioned. I never claimed a single handed effort
Please add yourself as you will then have the known perception and reality as a founder. I have found founders from their greater research before tend to be wiser and more aware of weaknesses than those who want to believe. I however don’t know what to add about you Richard other than admire the quality of your blog, intellect and output.
Fingers crossed.
Slightly off topic so please don’t post if it’s not relevant.
Is there an actual progressive forum this stuff is discussed on?
I am aware of specific blogs where readers can comment on authors’ posts.
I’m curious about a moderated community where members can raise and discuss these matters and share these vital insights that people like Richard help bring to our attention.
Obviously in this instance we have potentially British commentators discussing American stats.
So these issues are fundamentally global and the fascists seem to have no trouble collaborating across borders to create a mainstream narrative.
I will admit I am a little out of the loop due to the nature of my lifestyle so I might have missed something but being part of a global community and building our own mainstream narrative seems like a counter to the ignorance and populist spread that seems to get so much coverage in it’s place.
I created Progressive Pulse for that reason….
Search it out
I’ll get on it.
Thanks
