If evidence was required that politics is not simple, then the fact that the Tories are at war with each other provides it. This is from Politics Home this morning and is their top four headlines:
And still people believe they are the best party to lead the country.

Well enough of the electorate regard them as the best party for Government.
They are, without any doubt, the worst administration in my lifetime and embarrassingly inept. May must rank as one our most feeble PM’s. But what does it say about the opposition who still cannot overhaul them in the polls?
I genuinely despair at the current situation.
We deserve better than the mediocre second raters running the country, and those who seek to replace them.
Me too! 🙂

Polls…. hmmm! eg YouGov? owned by Tory MP & onetime Tory Candidate.
How many polls got it right at last GE?
I do think though, people have been driven to apathy over brexit & the Tory infighting about it, who might otherwise take an interest in party politics if we were to have a GE soon.
The sleepover at Chequers should be fun! Can kicking needs to stop soon.
Then the real kicking starts
At least we can see the treachery in the Tory party.
What is happening in the Labour party however is another matter.
You, presumably, know what you are alluding to.
You may be the only person who does?
Allowing the selfish inner child to dominate reasoning ability seems to have reached epidemic proportions in Parliament!
All their little Trumps are coming out
I think the “f*** business” outburst was one of the funniest things in years.
I’d like to see more of it.
In an odd way it shows just how wise the electorate is that they’d rather have this shower in charge than the utter shambles that Corbyn would represent.
If this is not a shambles, what is it?
Why would you imagine that Corbyn would be more shambolic? I don’t ask you to support Corbyn. I am sure he would do many things you don’t like, but that’s not the same as shambolic.
I think there is every reason to think a Corbyn govt would be more disciplined than this particular Tory govt.
Look at Corbyn. Even if you don’t like him or agree with him, he has proved himself a fighter and a highly determined individual, with the guts to stand up to a great deal.
Do you think he would put up with what May puts up with on a daily basis?
