I wish John Bercow would stop wearing his Slytherin tie:Sometimes a tie just says too much.

I really cannot stand the man and his use of language in the chamber.
I quote George Orwell:
“Long words don’t make you sound intelligent unless used skillfully. In the wrong situation they’ll have the opposite effect, making you sound pretentious and arrogant. They’re also less likely to be understood and more awkward to read.”
The House of Commons is not meant to be a public school debating chamber.
I recently read the transcript of the debate covering the 1950 women’s campaign on State pensions changes, not sure about “Public School” debate, but it did sound like a School debate to me, with all the round-a-round circular bla-bla-I like the sound of my own voice and I’m making sure my constituents know I earn my grub-bla bla bla sort of speech.
Anyway, enough of that. The tie, yes, not cool. Not cool.
Totally agree about Bercow. No interest in Potter.
Tie or not would he still be a Slytherin
