Thanks for drawing my attention to this excellent short and your succinct contribution. Hitherto I’d not seen the two previous ones either. The 3 together give a poignant and accurate picture of how Neo-liberal austerity politics impact on ordinary lives at grass-roots level. They are just the kind of brief, well-focussed documentaries that need to be seen by a much wider audience. As I’m not signed up to Facebook, have a browser block for it and rarely visit the site, I tried unsuccessfully to find a YouTube link to them. Do you know if they are accessible elsewhere?
I wish they were
I will ask the producer
A Tory MP going to a foodbank – that’ll never happen.
Yes it will.
Nothing quite like watching the lower orders struggling to give them a warm feeling in their pants…

I fully endorse John D’s comments. These videos don’t just move me, they also leave me monumentally ashamed that, as a nation, we have sunk so low as to willfully damage the most vulnerable in our country.
I’d add that, in my opinion, the case for austerity has been comprehensively demolished, to the point where to continue with it represents, for those with the capacity to understand why it has been demolished, a crime against humanity.
TIAA – there is an alternative.
I agree – TIAA
Maybe “TISAA!” – There Is *So* An Alternative!
I have sent this link to my MP to ask him to see if all tory MP’s can be forced to watch it – what an indictement on our society that it has come to this and the government is still crowing about how well we are all doing under their watch…..
