Video: international financial services and small island states

Posted on

Videos are catching up with me. This is from a conference on 31 January on international finance and small island states, which was (overall) heavily inclined to find sympathy with them, which might explain the tone I adopted. The speaker who followed me said I was English was a Mediterranean temperament. That may in part have been based on the Q&A where I was persistently questioned on Hong Kong: what the questioner did not realise was that Hong Kong is not western style capitalist now: it is an outpost of state capitalism, which is not the same, I would contend.

The video you actually want is number three of this series. If you go to Youtube it is an option on the right hand menu. I can't find another way to get there right now, annoyingly.

The thesis presented is that from my book, Dirty Secrets.
