I hope you recover soon, and spring back like you did yesterday.
When fully recovered I’d be interested to know if you have any thoughts about http://www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2007/07/11/tax-credits/ or have I missed something? That link you gave is now dead.
Not surprised Richard, it’s been a feverish time for you over the last couple of weeks – take care of yourself.
I think that you can perfectly entitled to a break. If anything, I have been amazed at how keep up with the volume of work. I’d even begun to suspect that you were like one of those legendary renaissance painters that has a studio of junior artists working under his name.
I suppose that I can lay that suspicion to rest now – and I’m still amazed. Take it easy. The world can wait and you will be ready for it.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. Good people are scarce!
I have no wish to increase your blood pressure, but the Irish Times obviously paid something to get this attack dog material out from behind the FT’s paywall:
http://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/uk/janan-ganesh-a-corbyn-win-would-be-disastrous-for-labour-1.2327239
This is only a mild taster of what’s to come. It would be impossible to rebut all of this spiteful drivel – and it would serve no useful purpose. The focus has to be on the clear and distinctive policy proposals that are being advanced – and on revising those that need some refinement.
It’s also interesting that Labour uses the Alternative Vote system in its leadership election, but appears not to want the ordinary plebs to be able to use it when electing MPs or any variant that might increase the proportionality of Commons representation. Indeed, many of its bigwigs and most of its MPs voted and campaigned against AV in 2011. AV does not guarantee more proportionality than FPTP, but it is a better means of ensuring the parliamentary representation of more anti-Tory MPs.

Need I say more?
Clear fluids to keep hydrated and a good nap or two. Piece of toast later if you feel like. Rest and relax.
Was always a bossy nurse, can’t help it. But nice with it.
🙂
Danny Blanchflower raised me from bed this afternoon
Completely knackered now
Mr Murphy,
