Christian Aid welcomes the Fair Tax Pledge

Posted on

Christian Aid issued this press release yesterday:

Christian Aid today welcomes today's launch of the Fair Tax Pledge, which is aimed at individuals who want to do the right thing on tax.

Toby Quantrill, the charity's Principal Economic Justice Adviser, said: “Christian Aid has campaigned for tax justice, especially in developing countries, since 2008. While we have focused on the failure of many global companies to pay their fair share, we welcome this initiative because it highlights the moral dimension of tax and the fact that paying one's taxes contributes to the common good.

“The Fair Tax Pledge allows individuals in the UK to show their personal commitment to a fair and effective tax system, if they choose to do so.”

Thanks to them.
