Advance notice of an Equality Trust initiative leading up to the General Election on tax dodging. Alongside various other groups and NGO’s we will be targetting public awareness and action on this issue. List of training days for members below;
Tax Dodging Bill — Training Events
Every year the UK loses billions of pounds, while developing countries lose an estimated $160 billion a year from corporate tax dodging. This is money which could be spent on tackling poverty, at home and abroad. Over the next six months we’ve got a real opportunity to do something about that. You’re invited to campaign training workshop that will give you a sneak preview of a new campaign to get tough on the tax dodgers that’s launching soon.
Workshop sessions include:
* Why we need the government to take action on tax dodging
* Make them listen: how to lobby in your constituency
* How to build momentum in your constituency
We all pay our tax but big companies are getting away without paying their fair share because the rules are rigged in their favour. Everyone loses out and funds which could be spent on tackling poverty are lost. That’s why a growing movement of people from across the UK are calling on all political parties to act.
