Incredible that Tim Worstall believes that the TJN is unaware that banks lend money, based on how much is deposited with them. Even the casual observer can understand this basic principle of banking.
In any case, his thinking is badly flawed because tax receipts are deposited in to bank accounts anyhow. The government doesn’t keep £100bn in cash under a mattress!
It is bizarre! He does not only not know what banks do, he endorses tax evasion on the way
