Even when Jersey and Guernsey lost their judicial review hearing on the UK's decision to block their deliberately encouraged abuse of the UK's VAT system there were those who were saying I was premature to celebrate a campaign victory.
Not any more! They have both given up any thought of appealing the decision. This one is in the bag.
The next job is to ensure that the contagion does not spread.

Whilst the abolition of LVCR in respect of the Channel Islands, surely there’s no real cause for celebration when companies can ship from other jurisdictions, outside the EU, such as Switzerland or Eastern Europe. It’s a start. But the battle’s not over.
The provisions in the Finance Bill are easily amended to tackle this issue
