Why stock markets can never deliver pensions for all

If you want an explanation for why I think it irrational to base our pension hopes on stock market investment then this is it:

Why on earth does anyone believe such a market can deliver pensions for all? Isn't that one of the daftest ideas ever put forward?

    The stockmarket is just recycling the surplus labour of others and a leetle bit of it leeches out to pensions. It is so obvious that pensions should be funded directly from surplus labour via the tax system. Cut out the middlemen.
