George Osborne is a man to follow a trend.
Kraft has announced today it is splitting the company in two.
George Osborne will be following suit tonight.
He's going to announce he's splitting the economy in two.
There's going to be a large part for the rich and a small part for everyone else.
Thanks for reading this post.

The actual plan is to spin off Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales as independent sovereign states, and leave England as a fully fledged LOW TAX country.
With so much happening in the Euro-zone can’t you think of something a bit more intelligent to say. I disagree with much of what you write but respect your views. This is just plain silly. Remember which government did the most to increase inequalities in the UK was one I guess you supported.
Does a little humour really offend you so much?
Biut whilst I am about it – stop lying
Thatcher increased the gini index enormously – Labour stabilised it
So you have just proffered a blatant untruth
Now, are you going to apologise?
He’d just be codifying the existing situation.
I was going to say (like Chris) hasn’t he done it already.
This would be hilarious if it wasn’t (sadly) so true…
Has it not always been like that? Communists tried another way and it failed because it did not take into account human nature, There will always be the Rich, the wealthy, the not so rich and the poor it is just the nature of things. There will also be booms and busts no amount of regulation will stop that and there will always be tax payers, tax avoids and tax evaders and no amount of regulation will stop that either. Osborne, a history student who does not like his given name of Gideon should not be in charge of this very sick economy nor should we blame everything on the Government as it was the banks who bought the debt from US funds who had developed a system to fool even rating agencies.
ED note: this was posted as Howard but that might result in confusion with Howard Reed and that would not be acceptable so I added an additional title
Your fatalism is simply not acceptable – government can, and does, change things
The impact of what you say is ‘keep the status quo’
That has failed us
I cannot accept your hypothesis
Why did you not leave my reply up? This is somewhat cowardly to refuse my right to reply to your comment! Come on Richard surely you are bigger than that?
Because you weren’t adding to debate
Actually, as I recall it your were just being petty
So I used my editorial freedom
It’s a big thing, judgement. I like using it
Well hold on it was a reply to your comments relating to my post. Anyway your blog if you are not sure enough to have your points questioned (most likely not post this either) then so be it. Judgement is a wonderful this however is censorship or maybe just bad judgement.
Do you know, whenever someone mentions censorship because I’ve deleted a comment I know I did exactly the right thing
Anyone who thinks deleting comments that are off topic, extraneous or which just fail to come up to standard on a blog is censorship clearly demonstrates that their comments deserve to be deleted – see the comments policy if you want to understand why
No need to split the economy in two, it’s already been done. There’s the City of London and the rest of us. Passport to Pimlico indeed!
