From the Channel Online TV:
Online greeting card company Funkypigeon could soon become the latest fulfilment business to set up in Guernsey.
The business is recruiting on the island, but they will not yet discuss why they want to make the move over the Channel.
One reason could be that rules on Low Value Consignment Relief or LVCR mean their goods would be exempt from VAT, but that is not something the States encourage.
Three things are clear:
a) Osborne's announcements clearly aren't having an impact.
b) The 'not encouraging' stance of the States is toothless.
c) Radical action to stop this abuse is now needed.
Will Osborne deliver? Who knows?

The “States” of Jersey are renowned for saying one thing and meaning/doing another.
Never believe a single word emanating from this wretched assembly, it is interested only in unremitting greed and the accumulation of wealth by any/every possible means.
PSG is it a group or just one person? Sorry, I digress. This article is about Guernsey not Jersey.
I presume you meant Guernsey but was just a little keen to tinkle on that warrior keyboard of yours! Anyway, I think in your haste your have overlooked the views of the “wretched assembly” in Guernsey who have said (in respect of Funkypigeon moving to Guernsey) “”We work proactively to strongly discourage companies from setting up on the Island, or selling through third party providers, solely to take advantage of LVCR arrangements.”
I`ve often wondered about the PSG as well-they seem to have opinions on almost everything! Do they have a presence on the Web?

You mean the States say “no means yes”?
Arnald, no I didn’t mean that but clearly they have put out the statement I quoted…if they don’t mean it then they shouldn’t say it.
