Named and shamed – brilliant. Makes you wonder why the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Tourism and Hosni Mubarak’s grandkids needed bank accounts in Switzerland. What was wrong with the banks in Egypt? Well done to the Swiss and, as you say Richard, it would be nice for the UK to follow suit.
I tend to agree but I think you will find that HM Treasury have issued a note with reference to Egypt.
@John Buckles
Not that I can find
I can only find Taliban and Al Qaida related data
“Well done to the Swiss and, as you say Richard, it would be nice for the UK to follow suit.”
Not forgetting the three little protectorates sitting (not so) pretty off the U.K. mainland. Or would this be like opening Pandora’s Box — which was said to contain all the evils of mankind.
Apologies – I saw the headline on the Law Society website which is a little misleading http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/newsandevents/news/view=newsarticle.law?NEWSID=434588
There doesn’t appear to be a formal warning issued yet.
