International Accounting Standards Board – open for comment

Posted on

The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have issued a call for comments as part of review of the strategic purpose and functioning of the IASB and the rest of the IFRS Foundation.

This review asks deep and important questions about this powerful standard setting body that increasingly sets the global standards for corporate financial reporting. In particular, it requests inputs on:

  1. Its mission
  2. Its governance structure
  3. Its processes
  4. Its funding

The deadline for responses to the consultation is December 31st, 2010.

I think you can be sure I’ll be commenting.
