Time to go

Posted on

I note the following on the BBC Today programme web site:

David Cameron's communications chief Andy Coulson "has no case to answer" over continuing allegations about his involvement in the News of the World phone hacking scandal, according to government minister Alan Duncan.

I’ve argued people have been wrong to attack Hague in the way they have.

This is a totally different kettle of fish.

If Coulson did not know his paper was riddled by journalists hacking phones then he was incompetent.

If he did he’s culpable.

Either way he’s not suitable for senior office, serving the Prime Minister.

And as always, when the press secretary is the story it’s time for him to go.

The ConDems look like Major’s shower already.

But that’s unsurprising. None of them could, I suspect, identify an ethic if they tried.
