Why use the net?

Have we got it wrong about the soon to be minted CAs? | AccMan .

Slightly off topic, but good. Dennis Howlett asks about who uses the net, and why, and where real proactive use of it leads. As he says:

I’ve long argued that in any interactive internet based community, Nielsen’s law of inequality participation (or the 90-9-1 rule where 90% of information consumers are passive,) holds largely true. It is remarkably difficult to get people to participate which means that even moving tohe needle to 89-9-2 has a massive impact.

I buy that. It's certainly true here.

And like Dennis, I remain baffled as to why more do not proactively use this medium.
