Good news this morning: Harriet Harman confirming at the Compass event I’m attending that the Equality Bill will ensure that henceforth no political party will be allowed to have a clause that says people are banned from membership on the grounds of race.

Of course this is aimed at the BNP.

They are racists. It has to be said. This will say so.

We need such laws.

And note: the Tories oppose this Bill.
