The 3,000th post on this blog happened this morning.
Roughly 1,000,000 words in 27 months.
Has it been worth it? Oh yes. Look at the NGOs who have taken courage to campaign on this issue. Look at the role of the tax haven issue now.
I’m not saying for one minute that’s all because of this blog. It isn’t. But it’s helped.

[…] Tax Research UK » 3,000 Congrats to Richard Murphy (A G20Voice blogger), whose Tax Research UK blog reaches a whopping 3,000 posts – but more congrats for the effect his work is having. (tags: taxjustice) […]
Richard you are too modest.
You, John and very few others have driven this debate to the top of the political agenda. Not by stunts or fancy campaign actions, but by very solid, very relentless, real-time analysis and commentary.
The case has been made very clearly, boiled down so that all (even we NGOs!) can understand the major issues and at least some of the technicalities. And any self-serving ‘the world will end if we reform’ comments from vested interests have been skewered within hours by you, Nick Shaxon or both on your blogs.
Keep it up, and we’ll certainly keep reading, linking in, and carrying the messages across Europe.

Congratulations Richard, although I probably only understood 20% of what you wrote I feel sure that all 100% of your blog has had a major impact in your battle against tax injustice. It just amazes me that so many “professionals” still don’t get your point! Keep it up and good luck at the G20.
Just come back from Brussels Tax Forum. I attended the first forum 2 years ago. This time tax havens were mentioned by every single platform speaker. Well done TJN!
