Senior Economic Justice Advisor - Development Finance

Christian Aid's essential purpose is to challenge the structures that keep poor people marginalised - what's yours?

You will lead and champion Christian Aid's policy work on development finance, including tax justice, both externally and within the organisation.

You will develop our policy positions, undertake and commission policy research, ensure rigorous analysis and contribute to driving forward new policy directions on development finance. You will provide Christian Aid's key policy expertise in this field and advise and brief staff and senior management, including the Directorate. Your work will underpin our new campaigning work, and will require close liaison with organisations and staff in the South as well as participation in relevant policy fora and senior level discussions in the UK and Europe.

We are looking for someone with considerable policy, research or field experience on economic development, including a relevant postgraduate qualification. You will have expert economic knowledge of poverty and development, ideally with regard to tax and/or development finance. In addition, you will have proven experience in advocacy and in undertaking and commissioning policy research, and be able to communicate complex issues simply, both verbally and in writing.
