Christmas is about the birth of a child, and for many the focus is on children.
In that case I make this Christmas offering for reflection:

So I ask a question: how can those who argue for low taxes live with their consciences?

That’s is a compelling best fit line and a nice correlation but look at ITA v NOR. Same average tax and vast difference in child poverty (factor of 4). Similarly USA v AUS have similar average tax and different poverty, almost by a factor of two.
While I grant your point, tax is not the only factor here.
