The timing was impeccable. After yesterday's story here on the amount of tax evasion taking place in Jersey the Daily Telegraph in the UK had a story this morning entitled:
Why not channel your cash into Jersey?
This had the wonderful sub-title, which implicitly recognises the truth of and motive for past evasion:
Despite recent tightening of tax laws, offshore savings accounts can still boost your returns
For those not familiar with it, the Daily Telegraph is commonly known as the Torygraph and is the paper of choice of conservative England (I make the country reference deliberately).
And it reveals how acceptable tax fraud is in this community.

is that conservative England or Conservative England? Capitalising that C makes a big difference to the meaning.
I bet that most of those you so label don’t read the Telegraph!
It could be either. Indeed, I wrote both at first. Then stuck to just one version as I think it thebest description of those the Torygraph is aimed at
Presumably the owners bank in the Channel Isles, so why not the readers…:)
