The FT has published a survey that show most people in the UK think:
1) Globalisation is having a negative effect;
2) Most people cannot fulfil their potential in this country;
3) Corporate salaries should be capped;
4) Free competition should not be an EU objective;
5) People want higher taxes on high salaries.
I don't share (1). I do the rest. Read the survey. It's fascinating. An shows how far the corporate world is from winning the PR war.
Thanks to Dennis Howlett for the link.
Is not point (1) relevant in conjunction with the work of the World Bank, IMF, WTO and Paris Club etc?
Or, should we be looking at classifying Globalisation in two paradigms, which may look like this:
A) the historic movement people and goods that leads to trading.
B) the globalisation that includes the above, but where people, goods, and trade that leads to the abuse of People and goods, by TNCs and aided by the above mentioned organisations.
