Make tax returns public

Alex Hawkes, who is Accountancy Age's tax hack, talks on his blog about making tax returns public as a way of shaming people into tax compliance.

Alex, I wholeheartedly agree. They do it in Finland, and society has not collapsed. Nor need it here. In fact - it would help transparency at all levels.

But, first of all, this should be required of all companies. After all, they have limited liability and I think this a price of that benefit.
